Rust is a multiplayer survival game that was developed by Facepunch Studios. Whether you are into survival games or FPS games Rust has a bit of of it all, and if you have some friends to play with it can be a really fun game. If you even thinking about playing Rust you are going want to make sure you have time to play and get better. Rust has a big learning curve, and for this reason many people are scared off from playing the game, some of these include.
- Learning different recoils for every gun
- Figure out how to build bases
- Learning how to farm and make tea
- Learning how to craft different items
- How to make progress and get guns
- Learn how to get good a pvp
- Learning how to work as a team
- Learning how to fly minicopters
This list may be intimidating but don’t worry it just takes time and practice to learn all of these things. These are just a few things off the top of my head, but there is plenty more things you are gonna have to learn. If you do think about purchasing rust, you are going to want to make sure you have a couple friends it makes the game a lot more manageable and fun and almost a necessity if you tying to play seriously.
Rust, on the date of this article being posted is only available on PC, but is coming to Ps4 and Xbox by the end of 2021. This is leaving a lot of questions for hard-core Rust players even including myself such as “Is there going to be cross-platform, and if so how is that going to work.” or “How is Ps4 and Xbox players going to get affected by recoil, are they going to have aim assist.” Either way no-one knows what to expect, and I speak for most that we are all curious to see what happens in the near future.
When booting up Rust you might want to go directly to the settings and turn nudity to “Censored” or “Clothing”. You are going to want to do this because you will automatically have nudity set to “Nude” which means you will be able to see “Nudity”. Besides that the game is mostly PG, it does involve killing animals, people, and AI but doesn’t show very much blood at all, it does have some have physics, so if you get shot with a bow or get a sword thrown at you it will stick in your character.
Overall Rust is a pretty decent game, it has its flaws like any other game but if you are looking for survival game with a grind and some pvp this is the game for you. Their is a big problem with hackers and the community is pretty toxic, but if you have some thick skin and find a good server you can have a good time playing with friends or by yourself. Since I do have a lot of hours played on Rust this may be more of a personal opinion but I would give the game about a 7.5/10. Keep in mind this game is no where near perfect, but like I said this is a good game to play with some friends who are commited.
